Building Assessor Shepparton Region

An immediate opportunity exists to join a Leading Insurance Restoration Builder as part of their Project and Assessing Team to service the Shepparton region.

Reporting into the National Building and Assessing Manager, my client is seeking a customer focused, self-motivated, well organised team member with all round building knowledge and report writing skills. This suits a tradesperson that wants to get off the tools.

The main responsibility of the position is to investigate the cause or loss of damage, quantifying repair work, estimating and writing of reports under the domestic insurance claim process.

Responsibilities include:

Provide detailed assessment reports and scope of works outlining the circumstances surrounding damage

Provide adequate photographs to substantiate all claims attended.

Liaise with Insurance companies, Internal Assessors, Project Managers and all customers

Managing the customers' expectations and complaints

To be considered for this role you will need to:

Have a thorough residential construction knowledge and experience

Be a licensed trade

Possess exceptional people management skills

Be an efficient time manager

Have sound administration skills

Be self-motivated and able to use your initiative

A good understanding of insurance company processes and policies would be well regarded.
