Billing Officer

Our client is one of the worlds largest toll-road operators, everything they do supports their consumers to get where they need to go as quickly and safely as possible. They have an exciting opportunity on offer for a Billing Officer for an ongoing temporary assignment with the possibility for permanency for the right candidate.

The role is to start immediately, and you would be required to work Monday- Friday, working a 38-hour week. The client would require the successful candidate to work in their office based at the Docklands for the first 4 weeks for training, but then they offer a hybrid working model (3 days in the office and 2 days from home). The hourly rate of this position is between $37 - $40 per hour + Super.

Reporting into the Billing Officer Team Leader, the role will be to ensure that all operational processes are checked and validated, and that any processes, systems or data integrity issues which impact revenue is identified, monitored and addressed in a timely manner. This role will also support the responsibilities of detecting and minimising revenue leakage and identify opportunities to enhance the overall revenue generation cycle and governance

Some of your other duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure data integrity of information is stored and maintained and continuously improved without comprising data
  • Investigate abnormal trends
  • Maintain records and database using Excel and their internal database
  • Investigate Workflow Trends
  • Manage Revenue Adjustments
  • Extract information/data and provide regular and ad-hoc reports as required
  • Maintain reconciliations and data tracking
  • Processing and investigation of refunds including contacting customers
To be successful in this role you must have worked in a similar role and be able to demonstrate knowledge of Billing Systems and processes as well as previous experience in a dynamic high volume computerised work environment. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent written and interpersonal communication is important as well as having he ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks accordingly. You must have the ability to work in a team effectively and you must be someone that is able to think on there feet, be proactive and be someone that is results and outcome focused. Proficient skills in all Microsoft Suites is required, with a particular focus on Excel.
