HELPING MORE AUTISTIC PEOPLE FIND MEANINGFUL CAREERS
According to the ABS, the labour force participation rate in Australia for autistic people is 40.8%, while it's 53% for all individuals with a disability and 83% for individuals without a disability .
To help address this, IPA and Xceptional have formed a strategic partnership to help more neurodiverse people – including autistic people – find meaningful careers.
With a common vision to positively impact people’s lives, this ‘partnership with purpose’ aims to create 100 positions for autistic people over the next two years. It also includes training hiring managers from five national employers on autism acceptance.
IPA and Xceptional are both certified social enterprises’. Buying from a social enterprise is one of the easiest and most effective ways of breaking the cycle of disadvantage in Australia.
