A partnership with purpose
When you partner with IPA for your healthcare workforce needs you are partnering with a certified social enterprise. This gives you the power to help create positive social change.
100% of our profits go to our not-for-profit parent company genU who support people with a disability and people from a disadvantaged background to reach their full potential.
Buying from a social enterprise is one of the easiest and most effective ways of breaking the cycle of disadvantage and strengthening Australian communities.
Our partnership with OET
Since 2017, IPA has been working with OET, the world’s leading English language test for overseas-trained healthcare professionals in sourcing the best temporary and permanent talent.
In Australia OET is approved by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). OET supports candidates within the healthcare sector to obtain the necessary English standards to provide safe and high-quality care and advance their career aspirations.
Recently IPA and OET explored how they could engage these candidates who have attempted or completed the OET test and are living in Australia with full working rights but are not yet working in healthcare.
Many of these candidates have obtained qualifications in the medical sector in their countries of origin but in some cases may have not yet reached the English standards needed for AHPRA accreditation.
Health candidates
IPA's partnership with OET allows us to tap into exceptional healthcare talent. IPA has full access to, and is working closely with OET healthcare candidates who are looking for their next rewarding career move. These candidates offer much-needed skills and experience to the healthcare sector in Australia.
What we do
- Assess each candidate’s suitability for the role
- Verify educational and regulatory accreditation requirements
- Liaise with the hospital or facility hiring manager to coordinate staff
- Take on the PI/PL insurance and WorkCover obligations for contingent healthcare staff
- Manage the employment relationship, including onboarding and payroll
- Adapt to your changing needs.
Training
Being part of genU means IPA has unique insight into the educational requirements for healthcare professionals. IPA has direct access to genU Training, a Registered Training Organisation to upskill candidates and to provide best-practice advice on the healthcare workforce.
